about

Hitting tape decks just before a full East Coast tour supporting the legendary BUZZCOCKS is this beast of an EP “HURRICANE”, recorded and co-produced by Jeff Zeigler at Uniform Recording (Kurt Vile, War on Drugs, Nothing, Purling Hiss) at home in Philly.

The title track “Hurricane”, forms in a swirling swamp of psychedelic debris before blasting off into a full-on, rock n’ roll anthem – creating a unique synthesis of raw 70’s punk and more mood-driven goth + death rock.

“Hurricane” lays the more experimental template for the rest of the EP, which sees Residuels exploring everything from balls-out proto-punk (“Whatcha Wanna Do?”) to the Arthur Lee-inspired balladry of closer “The Castle”.
